Join us in honoring amazing women

In YWCA Evanston/North Shore’s comprehensive work - from domestic violence services to racial justice, and economic empowerment to swimming, we strive for gender, racial and economic justice and do whatever we can to realize safe homes, schools, and communities Since 2008, YWomen has been YWCA Evanston/North Shore’s celebration of the power of women to change the world - highlighting women’s leadership and achievements in social justice work, women who live, work or volunteer in the Evanston and surrounding communities This Women’s History Month, we invite you to join us in honoring the lives and relentless work of our most recent YWomen honorees, Marjorie Craig Benton and Dr. Nadine Naber. YWomen filmmaker Susan Hope Engel has once again captured their stories in a way that recognizes their accomplishments, lifts us up, and inspires us to do more in our own lives. Thank you to YWomen supporters who allow us to do the necessary work to carry on YWCA’s mission to eliminate racism and empower women.
