The Customer Service Associate is the first point of contact for the public and conducts front-desk operations in a welcoming, inclusive, respectful, and efficient manner. The Associate greets all callers, visitors, program participants, and staff; answers questions accurately; maintains a safe and clean lobby; conducts point-of-sale transactions and assists participants with program registrations; opens and processes mail and deliveries; and directs all inquiries appropriately. The Domestic Violence Counselor II provides counseling and case management services to residential and community-based clients of the Domestic Violence Programs of YWCA Evanston/North Shore and contributes to the comprehensive array of supports provided with a deep commitment to creating a warm, welcoming, and trauma-informed space for all. As an integral member of our Domestic Violence (DV) team, the Housing Case Manager identifies and supports the housing needs of survivors of DV. The position provides standardized assessments and housing navigation for individuals and families in suburban Cook County who are victims of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, or stalking who are at risk of experiencing homelessness and are seeking assistance securing stable housing. This position will also engage with the community to maintain current information on housing resources and trends, advocate for the interests of survivors, and cultivate connections with relevant community stakeholders. This position contributes to creating a warm and welcoming space for survivors and their children and demonstrates an ongoing commitment to the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed services for clients of YWCA Evanston/North Shore. The Impact and Data Strategy Director leads an organization-wide effort to thoughtfully utilize data to improve the programmatic impact and operational functions of the organization in our collective efforts to advance the mission of eliminating racism and empowering women. The Director guides the YWCA towards becoming an innovative and equitable data-forward organization, ensures mission impact is measured and reported in a compelling and useful manner, and looks across the organization to identify efficiency and process problems that can be solved with digital solutions. The position must demonstrate technical acumen and analytical thinking while at the same time creatively use data visualization to support authentic and effective storytelling. The Learning Development Manager is skilled at developing and delivering training curricula and facilitating learning with diverse audiences under the leadership of the Equity Institute Director. The Manager will work closely with the Director in program design and planning, including developing intersectional equity trainings for the public and organizational clients, with an emphasis on racial equity, and representing the organization with diverse community audiences and partners in a manner that positions the organization as a regional leader on equity training and consultation. The Legal Advocate, as part of a larger domestic violence services team, provides court-based legal advocacy services for survivors of domestic violence seeking orders of protection. Based in the Skokie Courthouse YWCA office, the position requires significant versatility, flexibility, patience, and initiative to effectively navigate the complexity and unpredictably of the court system. The Legal Outreach Advocate, as part of a larger domestic violence services team, provides court-based legal advocacy services for survivors of domestic violence seeking orders of protection, with a special emphasis on outreach and education to immigrant survivors. The Advocate works collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement strategies to increase the use of domestic violence services by immigrant communities who face unique barriers to accessing community-based services. The position will deliver community education and training about the legal system, and options and resources for domestic violence survivors. The Residential and Crisis Support Specialist, as a member of a larger domestic violence team, is the primary on-site position that helps maintain a safe and supportive residential environment and offers critical support to callers of the 24-hour crisis line. The position proactively builds supportive relationships with residents, role models appropriate behaviors and boundaries, implements residential policies and procedures, and collaborates with team members and management to identify and proactively communicate areas for improvement. Crisis line tasks include assessing caller needs, conducting safety planning, screening for shelter eligibility, providing emotional support as needed, and referring callers to critical resources. The Workforce Development Manager, as a member of the Economic Advancement team, contributes to making our community a place where women can achieve family-sustaining employment by managing all aspects of YWCA workforce development programs. The manager oversees YW Tech Lab and YW Culinary programs through deep collaborations with the YWCA domestic violence program and key community partners. The manager supports and grows workforce programming by developing curriculum, program processes and protocols, community partnerships and referral pipelines, employer connections and provides client support as needed.
