YWCA Evanston/North Shore to offer training centered on domestic violence

YWCA Evanston/North Shore is offering a 40-hour domestic violence in-person training opportunity March 12 – 22 at the YWCA, 1215 Church Street in Evanston.Training sessions will be held March 12,13, 15, 19, 20, and 22, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The cost of the entire program is $255.YWCA Evanston/North Shore’s program is approved by the Illinois Certified Domestic Violence Professional Board (ICDVP) and provides a solid base of knowledge for anyone working with individuals affected by domestic violence. The program is appropriate for volunteers, professionals, students, community members, and others who want to learn more about domestic violence and help empower survivors.YWCA’s training uses a trauma-informed lens and covers all ICDVP-required topics, from safety planning, to confidentiality, to teen dating violence.To learn more and register, go to www.ywca-ens.org/40-hour-dv-training/ or call the YWCA at 847-864-8445.
