Financial Coach Training

Volunteer financial coaches work one-on-one with someone to help them reach their financial goals. The program, called The Advancement Project, combines financial education, financial coaching, and peer-learning to empower adults to accomplish a specific financial goal of their choosing.

March Financial Education Workshop

Challenges to Financial Independence: When Knowledge is Not Enough

This workshop will help financial coaches explore the emotional barriers which may interfere with the ability of motivated individuals to manage their finances.

Money is personal. To help create lasting financial habits, coaches must be aware of how personal experiences impact financial decisions.

At this workshop you will:

  • Identify common barriers to changing financial habits
  • Find realistic ways to move clients forward

Jessie Grossman GelberJessica Grossman is a Human Capital Consultant and Coach currently pursuing her Masters in learning and organizational change with a coaching certification at Northwestern University.  Jessica spent 9 years in the proprietary trading industry, first as a foreign exchange trader, and then developing traders after she discovered her passion for cultivating individuals potential.

She recently joined the YWCA Evanston/North Shore Board of Directors.
