The Career Kick-Starter Workshop is the second in a three-part career development series for job seekers who are re-entering the workforce or seeking a change in employment. Part two of this series is Identifying and Overcoming Barriers, facilitated by Tammie Stewart, ELOC Certified Coach, Northwestern University.
The goal of the workshop is to discuss and share workplace issues related to obtaining or keeping positions and also talk about ways to grow or advance.
We will discuss some of the skills employers are looking for in employees. We will also talk about roadblocks. Once you recognize roadblocks they may be easier to overcome.
Attendees should leave this session with the beginnings of a plan of action based on their individual starting point and career goal. In addition to this workshop, job seekers can attend Resume and Interview Tips for the Jobseeker for more tips on kick-starting their career.
This workshop is free, but you must register to participate.
