Coping Skills Class for Survivors (8 weeks)

Are you a survivor of domestic violence**? Are you finding it difficult to cope with the stress and pressures of life?

Join us for a 8-week coping skills class for survivors. All genders are welcome. Class is FREE and registration is required.

**a survivor of domestic violence is anyone currently experiencing or have ever experienced physical, emotional, financial, sexual or psychological abuse as a means to intimidate or control you. 

Class Schedule

March 4 – April 22, 2020 (8 weeks)

Wednesdays, 6:00-7:30 pm at YWCA Evanston/North Shore (1215 Church Street, Evanston, IL 60201)

Class dates are March 4, March 11, March 18, March 25, April 1, April 8, April 15 & April 22.

40-Hour Domestic Violence Training
Jul 13 – Jul 24 all-day

Note: The 40-hour DV Training originally scheduled for April 2020 was cancelled due to health and safety concerns. Please contact Verda Bhatti at vbhatti@ywca-ens.org if you have any questions.

YWCA Evanston/North Shore is an approved ICDVP training site for the 40-hour domestic violence training, which provides a solid base of knowledge for anyone working with individuals affected by domestic violence. The training covers all ICDVP required topics using a trauma informed lens.

July 13-24 training:

  • Monday, July 13, 9 am-5 pm
  • Wednesday, July 15, 9 am-5 pm
  • Friday, July 17, 9 am-5 pm
  • Monday, July 20, 9 am-5 pm
  • Wednesday, July 22, 9 am-5 pm
