YWCA Summer of Sex Ed: High School
Jun 8 @ 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

YWCA's Summer of Sex Ed FlyerComprehensive sex education is tied to concrete outcomes such as improved academic achievement, delayed sexual initiation, increased condom and contraceptive use and fewer unintended pregnancies.

Further, comprehensive sexual health education has the power to advance gender equity through dismantling stereotypes and assumptions, building self-acceptance and self-esteem, and empowering young people to build healthier relationships and prevent sexual violence.

YWCA is excited and proud to offer a community-based approach to comprehensive sex education to North Shore youth this summer.

Our high school group will meet on Zoom through June and July and follow the Our Whole Lives Curriculum, which covers information about puberty, sexuality, identity, and relationships that parents and children want and need, but that schools often briefly or never address.

This program is free to all North Shore youth who are in (or entering) high school. However, we hope that only those who intend on completing the entire program and attending most/all sessions will register. (Download a pdf of the flyer here.) Here are the details:

Times:
