Update: Information on COVID-19 for Survivors of Domestic Violence

Domestic Violence Program

We strive to ensure that all survivors of domestic violence who turn to us find the safety and support they need to take the next step to break free from abuse.

We provide an environment that is safe, welcoming, and meets survivors wherever they are in their journey. We help survivors increase their access to economic resources and legal protections. And we help them strengthen their emotional capacity to address the many complex issues they will face in recovering from the traumatic effects of violence and financial abuse, and rebuilding their lives.

If you or someone you know needs help, call 847-864-8780 or (toll free) 877-718-1868.

Someone will come to our door with nothing but what they are wearing. They may have children with them. They want safe shelter, but they need so much more. We give them the opportunity to breathe, but we also help them decide what their next steps are going to be.

– Sandy T. Williams, Director of Domestic Violence Residential and Community Services
