Stand Against Racism is a signature campaign of YWCA USA to build community among those who work for racial justice and to raise awareness about the negative impact of institutional and structural racism in our communities.

The Stand Against Racism in Evanston will take place this year on Wednesday, April 24 from 1:30 – 1:50 pm at various sites along Ridge. We invite you to join the Stand as an organization, school, business or individual. Although it’s not required, you can register your group’s participation at www.standagainstracism.org.  In Evanston, we will all read this pledge at 1:45 pm.

We know that these 20 minutes will not eliminate racism.  But standing together in this work for equity is the ONLY way we can actually achieve the systemic changes necessary for transformation of our institutions.
